Do’s Inside Nagarhole National Park

    Always carry a valid safari ticket. You need permission to go inside the park so that you can enjoy the thrilling safari ride. Without the permit, tourists are not allowed to go inside and explore the forest.

    Carry a trash bag with you so that you can collect the wrappers, tissues, or bottles in it. Kindly keep the park neat and clean, it’s the home for animals and plants.

    The trained drivers are advised to drive slowly inside the park. Please let them do their job. Wildlife may appear suddenly, so going slow (under 20 km/hr) keeps everyone safe.

    Tourists are allowed to go inside the park only with a trained forest guide and driver. They know the forest really well and will help you spot animals. They can share interesting facts about the park during the safari ride.

    Respect the wild animals of this spot and maintain a safe distance from them. This park is home to animals, and you are not allowed to disturb them. Observe silently and let them go about their day.

    Dress in jungle-friendly or neutral shades of colors like brown, grey, or dark green that blend well with the forest. Doing this won’t scare away animals, and you can see them easily.

    Kindly speak softly and explore the jungle peacefully. Whisper if you have to talk. Loud laughter, shouting, or sudden noises can scare animals and spoil the safari experience for others.

Don't Inside Nagarhole National Park

    Don’t carry any kind of weapon or sharp objects because it’s illegal. Tourots are allowed to go just for wildlife sightings and a thrilling safari. Doing any illegal activity is punishable.

    Do not smoke or light any fire, even a short one. A small spark can start a fire inside the park and destroy the ecosystem. It is risky and totally banned in Nagarhole National Park.

    Avoid shouting or clapping to get the attention of animals. You can see them from a distance, but shouting can scare them, and if you get their attention, then it can be risky because they are truly wild.

    Do not turn on music or any loud noise, even the horns. Just enjoy the peaceful sound of the Jungle during your safari ride.

    Never feed or try to interact with animals because it can be dangerous. Offering food or trying to touch them is unsafe and harmful because, no matter how cute they look, at the end of the day, they are wild animals.

    Avoid switching places or giving your ticket to someone else. The safaris are booked with full name and ID details, and swapping is not allowed.

    Leave the plants and trees as they are. Don’t pick leaves, pluck flowers, or break branches. The forest is a living ecosystem, and even a small leaf plays a big role here.

    Don’t ask the driver to leave the fixed safari path. The routes are made for your safety, and going off the safari route can damage nature, and it is also against the rules of Nagarhole National Park.
