1. Kakanakote Gate (Kabini Zone Entry)
This gate of the park is located near the Antharasanthe village, which is located close to the Kabini River side of the park. This gate is around 70km from Mysore and 15 km away from the famous KHD Dam / Kabini Backwaters. This gate is mainly used to enter the Kabini side of Nagarhole, which is the most famous part of the park. If you have booked a safari for Kabini, you will have to reach the Nagarhole safari gate to start the ride.
To reach here, you can drive towards HD Kote from Mysore and then drive towards HD Kote, which will take you directly to the Kakanakote safari gate of Nagarhole. And, if you’re staying in a resort near the park, then you can ask any local for directions, as all the resorts are located close to this gate because it gives entry to the famous zone of the park.

This gate of Nagarhole is located close to the Nagarhole village and is on the eastern side of the park. The Nanachi gate is around 85km from Mysore and is 35km from the Hansur. This gate of the park is the main entry gate for the Nagarhole zone. This gate is famous for the gypsy and bus safari ride, so you will have to reach this Nagarhole safari gate to start the ride in the Nagarhole zone of the park.
To reach this gate, one can drive towards Hunsur from Mysore and then follow the road leading to Nagarhole village. And, even people can find many government buses to reach this gate because it is on the eastern side, and that area is well connected by government and private transport.

3. Veeranahosahally Gate (Veeranahosahally Zone Entry)
This Nagarhole Safari Gate is located near the Hunsur town and is on the northern side of the park. The nearest town to this zone is Hansur, which is just 8 km away, and the nearest city is Mysore, which is around 60km away. This safari gate of Nagarhole is the northern entrance of the park and is mostly used by tourists traveling from Mysore, Bangalore, or Coorg. The Veeranahosahally Zone safaris start from here, so you have to reach this gate to enter the park.
To come here, you can take the road to Hansur from Mysore and continue straight towards Veeranahosahally village. This gate of the park is one of the most accessible ones for those people who are coming from the Bangalore side because it’s closer to it.
